The Children’s Grief Center Healing Hearts Luncheon
The Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico, Central New Mexico’s only free grief support program for children, hosted the 9th annual Healing Hearts Luncheon & Silent Auction at Embassy Suites Hotel February 6, 2015. Sponsored by Little, Gilman-Tepper and Leigh, the event featured a silent auction, luncheon, and an opportunity to spend an afternoon remembering loved ones. At the Children’s Grief Center, children receive support while grieving the death of a parent, sibling, or other loved one. The Children’s Grief Center does not receive any government funding and is dependent on donations from individuals and businesses to be able to provide such services. Sandra Morgan Little, an owner of LGTBL, is on the board of the CGC. Their mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where children, teens and families can share experiences while grieving a death.
